Pamela (Pam) Rende'

Founder & CEO

PTR Certified 10 & Under & Adult  Teaching Professional

Pam has been playing tennis since she was 5 years old.  A multisport athlete, her love of racquet sports always brought her back to tennis. Pam enjoys studying the biomechanics of Sport and teaching it in an understandable manner.  She has taught tennis for 15+ years ages 3 to 89 from Beginners to National Ranked Players- who have played the Orange Bowl and US Open Qualifier and Wimbledon.  A tactician, Pam enjoys honing players strengths., while crafting new skills and depth to their game.

Fun Fact: A true teacher, Pam taught Swimming through College, & is a Level 1 Ski Instuctor at Killington in VT! She also rescues racing greyhounds and Galgo Espanol

Olesya Kuchma

Teaching Pro

A local former tournament player, Olesya played number one singles at Radnor High School. Taught by Eric Riley, she has great focus on proper footwork and sound technique needed for top level play. Olesya went on to play number one and Captain the team at Rosemont College for 3 years where she earned her BS in Chemistry and MBA.  Pretty, smart, and a great teacher, Oleysa is a smash hit on and off the court!

Fun fact: Her favourite color is pink!

Amy Hartsock

Amy, like many of our students, began playing tennis at camp and never stopped! Her passion and joy of the sport translates into her fun on court teaching style. Amy continued to play tennis after starting her family and caught the Paddle bug as well and went on to run the Women's Interclub Tennis Program at Martin's Dam. An alumna of The Shipley School, Amy loves running the Summer Camp there!

Fun Fact: Not only a racquet sport star, Amy excelled in Syncronized Swimming at The University of Richmond competing at Nationals for 3 of her 4 hears.

Lauren Altshuler

PTR Certified 11-17 Professional

A 2018 graduate of Dickinson College with degrees in International Business & Management and Educational Studies, Lauren played No. 1 singles and doubles for the Women’s team for four years, was awarded All Centennial Conference honors multiple years and served as team captain during her senior year. Before college, Lauren was a highly ranked junior player who competed in National and Sectional USTA tournaments. Lauren’s coaching experience includes USTA Gold Cup, Julian Krinsky Camps and Programs, and the Moorestown Tennis Club.

Fun Fact: Lauren will be pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Management beginning in the Fall of 2020.

Shannon Hazell

Director of Racquetsports at The Shipley School

A lifelong and well rounded racquet sport coach and player, Shannon is well versed in the technical aspects of teaching racquetsports. A 5 time World Doubles Racquets Champion, a Former World Singles Racquets Finalist and a Two time United States Professional Rackets Champion he understands the training and foundation that is required for top level play while keeping it fun and approachable. A racquet stringer, he makes sure our strings are all up to snuff!

Fun fact: Shannon has a funny accent-  is originally from Bristol, England (and is fluent in French too!)
